For a while I’ve been quietly working on a custom aluminium fuel tank build for the Datsun. Here’s how I did it.
I’ve finally finished my right hand drive conversion. This is something I spent a fair bit of time figuring out so thought I'd consolidate what I learned into one post which other people may find useful.
I’d looked online quite a lot for anyone that had reviewed CX Racings RB26/S30 oil pan. As I looked, it appeared that there were quite a few other people looking for the same information but there wasn’t really much around. Having just acquired one of these oil pans, and knowing that everyone wants to see what they’re like, I thought I’d leave a review.
It’s taken me a few hours to get it all done but I’ve now got my T3 weld in adjustable camber plates fitted to the car. I spent a while looking for guides online and the information was a little sparse so thought I’d document the process for other people.
I’ve reached a point where I’m almost exactly one year away from when I want the car finished and on the road. I still think it’s going to be possible to do but I’ve got a long way still to go and have been running into a few sticking points which are starting to get frustrating.
